Anna Silk

Anna Silk, born January 31st 1974 in Fredericton Brunswick Canada is an actress most well-known for her role as Bo on The Showcase series Lost Girl. Silk is born in Fredericton New Brunswick Canada. Ilkay Silk's parents are Peter, an academic and Peter Silk, who was known as an accomplished actor as well as a producer, director, writer, teacher, and Director of Drama, St. Thomas University. Her father is British and her mother a Turkish-Cypriot-English expat. Some of Anna's earliest memories are of attending rehearsals for plays as well as watching her mother do the do her job. Silk was a part of numerous commercials for children. Silk completed her studies at St. Thomas University with the Bachelor of Arts degree in 1997. Her early theater experience includes two shows with Theatre St. Thomas: Seven Menus and The Kitchen. Silk moved to Toronto Canada in the fall of 1999 in order to pursue her acting. Then she moved in Los Angeles California during the next decade. She met her new spouse, Seth Cooperman, at an acting training located in Los Angeles in 2007. The couple was married civilly in December 2009. Following her conversion to Judaism and they were married again in the Jewish ceremony on April 10, 2011. The ceremony was held in Fredericton. Silk got a baby named Samuel Jerome Cooperman on May 13th, 2013. Levi Aaron was her second born baby on May 13, 2016. Silk's work on television includes her role in Being Erica as Cassidy Holland and she received an Gemini Awards nod in 2009. In 2009 she landed the lead role as Bo Dennis a succubus in the Canadian TV show Lost Girl. Silk fell pregnant during the production of the season three finale. She announced the news to viewers in Showcase's Season Three Pre-Show Special on 6 January 2013. Silk announced on Twitter on June 20, 2013 that the production was set to begin on Season 4. In June of 2013, Showcase and Prodigy Pictures confirmed that production had begun for Season 4, which will air in the fourth season. CNN, Cable News Network and E! have both named Bo (played by Silk) together with Lauren Palmer (Zoie) as one of their top television couples. Entertainment Television.
