Gale won a modelling competition in Perth at 18. Gale won a modelling competition in Perth when she was of 18. Following a number of years in the modeling industry, Gale became famous when she was chosen as a model in an advertisement campaign of Omnitel which is an Italian telecom company (now Vodafone Italy). Gale was featured in Omnitel's advertisements up to 2006 and was retained in 2003 from the Australian Tourist Commission as the "face of Australia within Italy.' Gale was featured on the cover of Australian Marie Claire, Grazia, Gioia, Italian and Australian GQ, Italian Maxim, Australian InStyle and featured in editorials for Australian Cosmopolitan as well as Vogue Italia. Gale has modeled for Italian fashion houses such as Gianfranco Ferre Genny, Gai Mattiolo and has also worked on runways with Mariella Burani, and Angelo Marani at Milan Fashion Week. [9] Gale also favours many Australian designers like Colette Dinnigan, Kirrily Johnston Lisa Ho, Willow and Alex Perry. She was in 2006 when she served as the fashion commentator for the Australian awards on television, known as the Logies. In January 2008, Gale announced her retirement from runway modelling after 15 years. She also walked down the catwalk for the final moment a few days later at a David Jones winter collection launch in Sydney. The final dress she wore was her Wonder Woman outfit she was to wear in the still-shelved movie Justice League of America.
